Economics Programme Structure

Designed by leading academics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, our online undergraduate economics programmes equip you with core skills and techniques required to apply economics concepts and reasoning to real-world challenges. These programmes will empower you to apply essential critical-thinking and quantitative skills in fields such as econometrics, finance, and industry.

As Few as 3 Years of Study

The maximum period of registration for the undergraduate online BSc programmes in economics is six years. We suggest you aim to complete your programme within three to four years. To complete the programme in three years, students must take four full courses (or equivalent) each year.

BSc Economics Courses

The online BSc Economics programme provides you with a strong grounding in economic theory and history, and will guide you in understanding how to critically model the real-world economic environment in line with contemporary thinking. As a result, you will be able to anticipate changes in the global economy and help organisations react to them.

The table below shows the course sequence for a three-year completion timeline. All full courses are 30 credits and take 20 weeks of learning. Half courses are 15 credits and include 10 weeks of learning.

BSc Economics and Management

In addition to the BSc Economics, we offer a BSc Economics and Management programme for students who seek to pair economic reasoning and business expertise.
